Job Description
Under general supervision, but according to specific instructions and established procedures, performs routine information system and application support for Research department initiatives. Gains extensive knowledge in the assigned subject matter for the Research information system application(s) and a basic working knowledge of the enterprise healthcare information system applications. Uses analytic skills and experiences to investigate/resolve and/or escalate support issues. Incorporates appropriate presentation techniques to assist and/or lead training sessions. Must have ability to train and provide documentation on the assigned application to users with varying education and learning abilities. Researches, analyzes and makes recommendations for application work flow improvements. Develop and execute Research application testing scenarios with Research end-users and other System IT departments. Assists in the creation and maintenance of training documentation or on-line training courses. Activities and services include the installation/conversion/maintenance of the Research information system application(s). Utilizes project management principles to assist in achieving stated outcomes. Keeps Supervisor(s) and Project Managers advised of outstanding issues and support needs. Performs with a high level of customer service skills on all support and training requirements. Promotes and participates in the team approach to support and manage projects.
Has current experience with design, implementation, maintenance, and functional support of software systems, preferably in a research or healthcare specific area. Will gain extensive knowledge of the applications utilized in the bench and clinical Sanford Research organizations and a basic working knowledge of other Sanford Health healthcare applications.
Skillful and flexible at managing change. Good problem solving skills. Time management and prioritization skills are needed on a daily basis. Critical thinking skills needed. Training presentation techniques and skills necessary. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Proficient at MS-Office software suite. A positive attitude and support skills are expected. Good customer service skills are needed.
Comfortable working directly with a variety of Research staff users from clerical to clinical/scientific. Experience with SQL and Visual Basic are important to this position.
Required Skills
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in computer, research or life sciences related field. One to two years previous experience in information technology systems is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
