AREAS OF CONSIDERATION
1. All Tenure 1 (as defined in block 24 on the SF 50) Technicians and AGR personnel of theSouth Dakota Air National Guard. Applicants must presently be a Dual Status employee or a Non Dual Status employee eligible for Dual status, or an AGR.
2. All members of the South Dakota Air National Guard.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT:
Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: AFSC 2A6X3 with required aptitude of M56 and a physical profile of 333131N. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is located in the Egress Systems Shop of the Aerospace Systems Section, Field Maintenance Branch, Aircraft Maintenance Division. The primary purpose of this position is to perform on and off equipment maintenance on aircraft egress systems, such as aircraft ejection seats, extraction and escape systems, egress components of jettison canopies, explosive components of escape hatches and doors, and egress trainers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for CONSIDERATION:
General : Experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate''s ability to develop patterns, layout, cut, form, join, assemble and install sheet metal parts and systems. Skill in the use of shop tools and equipment.
Specialized : 18 months of experience for the WG-10 in the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) as listed below. Such experience is gained in a line of work similar or closely related to the work of the position to be filled. A maximum of 6 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 6 months of experience. The education must have been in fields directly related to the type of work of the position to be filled:

1) Knowledge of and skill in repairing, modifying, assembling and adjusting aircraft ordnance system equipment.
2) Ability to troubleshoot the total ordnance system which requires knowledge of the interaction of several subsystems.
3) Skill in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment.
4) Ability to interpret technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams and schematics to make repairs and modifications.
EXPERIENCE EVALUATION :
